Message from the JARHP President

Modern Medical Workspace_edited.jpg

In 2010, the European League Against Rheumatism proposed the Treat-to-Target (T2T) strategy to achieve goals in rheumatoid arthritis treatment, and activities to promote this strategy have been widely carried out in Japan. However, in order to put this strategy into practice, it is necessary for many professionals, including not only doctors but also nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical social workers, to work together to support patients. Therefore, in 2015, the Research Society of RA Health Professionals (RAHP) was launched to share knowledge and information necessary for rheumatoid care and to provide opportunities to learn about support tailored to the needs of patients.
However, as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rage around the world and opportunities to exchange information are limited, we have once again recognized the importance of a forum for sharing information and learning, and have decided to launch this website. We have also taken this opportunity to change the name of our association to the Japan Society of RA Health Professionals, and hope to collaborate with more medical professionals and researchers working in rheumatology care.
We would like to learn together, exchange information, and work towards realizing better rheumatic care so that we can contribute even a little to improving the quality of life of patients with rheumatic diseases.
